A Personal Note from Me
Dear Parent,
Ever since I started ZimbOriginal, I’ve been inspired by the lives of remarkable people — founders, authors, and leaders — whose work continues to impact the world. One thing they all have in common? They were readers.
My mission at ZimbOriginal is to help children speak Shona confidently and beautifully — not just confident in the language itself, but confident and courageous in whatever their purpose or mission may be. Reading is a powerful tool to give them that confidence, and it’s at the heart of everything I do.
That’s why I’m introducing the ZimbOriginal Shona Book Club — to nurture a love for reading that builds determination, ignites passion, and inspires a lifelong curiosity for learning.
Through the Book Club, children not only read and discuss books but also encounter stories of real people — Zimbabwean and global figures — who inspire purpose, creativity, and courage. This helps children see that their potential is only limited by the bounds of their imagination.
